In order to set the correct Deal Stage during the import, we are looking at the following:

  1. Pipeline name: We check the Pipeline name from your source database and look for this same Pipeline name in HubSpot. If a match is found, then we proceed to step 2

  2. Stage name: We then check the Deal's Stage name in your source database and look for this same Stage name in HubSpot. 

If there is no Pipeline name match, we proceed to step 2, but checking across all potential Pipelines for the Stage name match.

It is important to note that we can only set the Stage in HubSpot that corresponds to the Deal's status as well. For example, if your Deal is "open" we can only set to an "open" probability stage in HubSpot. If the Deal is "closed won" or "closed lost", we can only set to a "closed won" or "closed lost" probability stage in HubSpot. 

If we cannot find a match by Stage name for the appropriate status, then we will:

  • If open, we will not import the record and instead provide you with an error report which indicates the Stage that is missing from HubSpot

  • If lost, we will import to the first Stage available in HubSpot which has a "closed lost" probability 

  • If won, we will import to the first Stage available in HubSpot which has a "closed won" probability
