If a contact has a company listed in ACT!, we will create that company record in your new app from the contact record. If you would like the contact fields to appear on the company created you will need to manually add the mappings to ensure the information is migrated.

Please note that this does not apply to companies created from the company card in ACT! Only in cases where the company information is stored on the contact card will a new company be created from the contact details.

Please follow these steps to set up the mappings.

First, create the corresponding fields from ACT! into your destination app so the mappings can be created.

To set up the mappings, please navigate to Configuration > Field mappings > select companies object in your import.

Click on "Add mapping" and start with adding the contact fields you would like to see in your destination. You will see the word "Contact" in front of the field name. This confirms you are mapping contact field data. See example here:

Click "Save mapping" and then proceed with the next desired field. Each field needs to be added individually.

Once all mapping is completed, you can return to the dashboard page of your migration and proceed with a sample or a full migration.
